My young children recently celebrated Valentine’s Day in their schools. My three year old and 1 year old each attend mom’s day out programs at nearby churches. They had parties in their classrooms. It was my initial year as a mother getting to figure out what kind of Valentine’s Day cards to send with my young children to school. I decided to let my oldest daughter choose out the Valentines Day cards for her and her brother to give to their classmates. She chose Disney princess themed cards. I would have bought another box of generic cards, but each and every of my children only had 8 young children in their classroom. I did not want to be wasteful, so I only purchased the box of Disney princess cards. I wound up having to put a disclaimer on my son’s Valentine’s cards stating that his sister picked them out.

When the youngsters came home from their schools with their bundles of cards from their classmates, I was amazed at the creativity that went into some of the Valentine’s Day cards. 1 of the students sent adorable heart shaped helium balloons as a single of her gifts. One more little student sent in photo cards of her and her brother. There had been modest small goodie bags stuffed with candy for the entire class. Some kids even went the classic route and made their custom made cards from hand. I absolutely was amazed of the varying levels of creativity that the kids/parents went to with sending in Valentine’s cards for their child’s classmates.

Seeing all of the creative Valentine’s cards that my youngsters came home from school with this year, created me think that I essential to be a lot more creative next year. I recently saw a really creative photo card that was a picture of a child holding her hand out in front of her. Then there was a true sucker placed by way of the photo card to make it look like the kid in the picture was holding the sucker. I have also observed individuals take broken crayons and melt them into new little heart shaped molded crayons.
